Position Overview: Family Ministries Assistant
The Family Ministry Assistant will support the Family Ministries Director with the church's children and family programs during the Summer season. The role includes assisting with Vacation Bible School Camp, Sunday Programs and administrative and outreach tasks.
This role exists to support Emmanuel's mission of helping people follow Jesus by serving families, children, and the wider church community.
Key Responsibilities:
Ministry Support:
1. Assist in planning and leading children's ministry programs
2. Support the organization and delivery of Summer VBS Camp
3. Assist in preparing lesson plans and teaching materials
4. Assist and provide support to Pastoral Staff as needed
Administrative Support:
1. Perform general office duties (filing, printing, organizing)
2. Assist with volunteer coordination and scheduling
3. Support staff with administrative needs
4. Help prepare and organize program materials
Communication & Social Media
1. Assist in social media content
2. Capture photos/videos
3. Support digital communication efforts
Facility & General Support
1. Assist with setup and teardown of events
2. Help maintain, clean and organize spaces
3. Support general upkeep tasks
Other duties as required.
